yes, i do organise a lucky draw at the birthday party for my son at both years starts from 3 yrs old. On my experience:
3 yrs old - they really don't know what happen.
4 yrs old - they know their name and happy
5 yrs old - they are more exciting and concern for the lucky draw.
as i prepare the (2) pcs of number coupons and give it to them when they came. And ask them to drop one pcs at the lucky draw box. Ask my son to draw for the no. and they will check their no. by themselfs . It really got a lot of fun and let the birthday person draw and present the present to his friends.
