May I share my feeling with all of you?
I am very upset and want to cry always. My son was born on 17-1-2006 and he has 濕疹 all over the body, face, neck, hands, legs. Sometimes I blame on me, why I take care my baby so bad. when I saw my baby very itchy, my heart is broken. during night time, I can't sleep. I afraid my baby 摔 eyes and face and make it bleeding.when can my baby recoverd.

Don't worry and blame yrself, qq same as yr baby last week, so, i take her to see doctor immed, now, she is recover

p.s. Doctor said it is very common on baby below 1 yr old.

Hello! 車莉, my I know which doctor did you see, My son put the medicine 1%hydrocortison will better but if don't put medicine for 2 days, the enzema come back. My son's hand like a map, face, neck red. I know I should be strong, but I can't control myself, I cry everyday.

I totally understand your feeling as my elder son was exactly like your son (if not worse) when he was 5 months old. He was so itchy that he even pulled almost all his hairs. We couldn't sleep at night and had to hold him all through the night. I also cried many times and we tried many doctors (even chinese herbalist!) and finally we took him to his dermatologist and his eczema was under controlled.
He's much better now (3.5 yrs old) but still need to see his doctor constantly and needs to take antihistame before bed. We'll also watch out his diet, his living environment (try to avoid dust) etc.

Besides, are you giving your son hypoallergenic formula milk? Or are you breast feeding?

My daughter, who was born 16-1-06, also has very mild eczema. Now with more experience, we try to keep her skin always moisturised and bath her with oilatum and so far she's ok....

Eczema can be a long battle, though it's not life threatening, it can affect the family life so much. If you need more info, just let me know.

Thank You for your help. May I know what medicine did your doctor give your son? I already use oilatim bath oil already, and changd to nestle HA formula milk.

He gave my son elomet (one kind of steroid) when he was very serious. However, he diluted the elomet in vaseline so it won't be too strong for a baby. I really recommend you to see a specialist soon to help ease your son's condition. As a mom, I know how heartbreaking it is to see your baby being so itchy, we even want to takeover their pain instead of having them to suffer.

From your name, you are hoamama, right? Be brave and optimistic, all 0601 moms are right here to support you and listen to you.

Consult specialist to imporve the condition, no need to blame yourself, it's not your fault but it's just happen to be his fate and condition right now, will improve very soon as all our 0601 babies are strong and healthy.

Understand your feeling. Though my daughter doesn't have eczema luckily, I feel very upset when I saw her having some tiny red spots on the body. I'll think maybe I don't take good care of her, or don't keep her clean enough.

Anyway, will support you and do come up to express your worries, it will be much better to talk with all other mums here!

我仔仔都有，成塊面都係，但都冇法，大家都唔想，最好方法就係同佢睇下醫生同埋做好些照顧工作，等佢唔駛咁辛苦

I know it's very upset as my daughter also has eczema. It's especially sad when I see other babies with perfect skin. However, you need to be strong and happy in front of your baby. if you're unhappy, your baby can feel it. In fact, at this stage, babies won't feel upset about eczema (though it may be itchy), you need to teach her how to 樂觀地 face this problem.

Your can share your feeling with all of us and in the section of 嬰兒醫護, they have forum about eczema. Go and have a look.

My ah B starts to have eczema when he was around 3 mths old, sometimes very serious too & his face will 流嘢添. Except medicine, I only put vaseline on his skin & use "Swiss Natural Baby Bath" to bath him. gradually, he is getting better & he is so-called 白白淨淨right now (touch wood) hehehe.......if his 濕疹 not 發作. But I found sometimes you need to go by try and error to find the best way thru my experience becos my son is allergic to many conventional 濕疹 med.

A friend told me that I also have to keep the room temperature btn 18-22 degree.

I aren't sure about nestle HA formula - my 陪月said it is quite 熱氣2. I now use Japanese ones which I think should be more suitable to our stomach ma.

Don't worry too much - 0601 mama & bb will "hit air" for you 2.

My doctor named 徐和邦 who located in Tai Kok Tsui.

My daughter is born on 17 Jan 06 (St. Teresa Hospital).

Don't be so upset, you need to have positive mind set and be strong all the time when you take care of your baby and find ways to let BB in a better situation.

And I heard that you are afraid people think of your BB is not pretty. You don't need to care about how other people think. You know, in every mother's eyes, their own baby is a very very little beautiful prince and princess.

我囝囝都有濕疹呀
唔好唔開心啦
醫生都話照顧得佢好會發少d
到差不多兩歲就會無事架喇
如果你bb一唔渣藥就起
我覺得你最好搵個專拜醫生跟一跟
佢地會比好多意見你
應該點去照顧一個有濕疹既bb
我初時都無同個仔去睇醫生架
事關d家長個個都有唔同講法
呢個又話試呢樣果個又話試果樣
攪到我頭都大又整唔好個仔
我連奶粉都轉左4次呀
最後的起心肝帶個仔去睇醫生
比左藥膏佢茶就好好多
但都仲係keep住發
最後我地發現左原來佢個致敏源係竹蓆呀!!
拎走左之後就無乜點番發
所以你都要小心留意佢係因咩而發作
咁你幫佢避開果樣野就會好好多架喇
照顧濕疹bb係要好有耐性
不過唔使灰心
上黎傾下
大家share下就會輕鬆好多架喇
