Hi 大眼媽咪,
Jayden has started going childcare now, every Wednesday & Thursday, plan to go for three days a week .. but still on waiting list.. so full ar the childcare in city & expensive too:-(
Jayden's childcare cost 89.00 a day, but from our mother's group, one of the mummy put her daughter to the childcare in city, cost 110 a day, and also the other mummy still on waiting list for her son to the other childcare in city as well, cost 95.00.
I'm planning to going back to work for part-time accounting job in city, close to home and childcare.
Going back to work is one of my mission, cos 99 & 62 don't want me to work ga... but I wish to going back to work, cos I want to have my life as well...

Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?
MichelleShi,
Hello. I am also from Sydney! I along with my family have moved to Australia for a year now. I am a 全職媽咪 - 新手一名. Waa-ya, it is just not easy being a full time mum so i know how you feel. Sometimes I would think of going out and work again but having two children to take care of , seems to me now working is not and can not be the priority.
Household work to me is the hard part. I mean 體力上. So knowing you have getting someone to help every two weeks seems ideal to me. May I ask where you get the helper from and the cost for it?

Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?
Hi Michelleshi,
It is nice to meet you too. I am currently living in Hurstville as my sister settled in Hurstville for couple of years already. It is nice to stay closed to families when decided to move here. I have a son who is 9 years old and a daughter age 5 ......oh and by the way, i've got married and got pregnant at VERY YOUNG age !
I am so happy for you that you have a good house cleaner. It just make things much easier for mums. I used to have a domestic helper in HK from indonesia who had help us for 8 years. Because we moved to Aust. so she also went back to her hometown too. I missed her so much , not just because now i have to do my home duties but we grew so closed as a family too. ngdaddy and I and the kids will still call her from time to time to see how she was doing. So i know how lucky it is to be able to get good helpers. Hope i could get this luck here too.
I am also glad to see another mum from Sydney too and hope that more Sydney mum and soon-going-to be-Sydney mum can get in and chat and do not feel shy (like I used to ).
Sure , coffee is good but I am still not too familiar with a lot of places. I've got a AUS driving license but for me the road is much complicated when compare to Hong Kong! (vv123, you are right about the roads!)
Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?
MichelleShi,
Sorry about the late reply as I was sick for the last few days. So how's your interview go? I hope everything is good!!
In fact, I am only 50 50 want to go back to work. The reasons for me want to go back to work is of course want to meet more ppl, and I want to earn more money.
As now I got 2 kid (2.5 years old son and 4 months old daughter). It will be a big expenses if both of them go to the childcare together although my husband's salary is not bad at all...but I want to help, you know what I mean...
Being a C9....sometimes is good....well..for myself, I don't mind do the cleaning, cooking and washing (coz I started doing housework when I was very young --> parents need to worked, I looked after my 2 younger bros when I was only 12)
But the "outside world" is keep on moving and moving, if I continuous being a C9, that means I am not moving......
So I wish I can earn money at home = work at home, so that I can earn money while I look after my 2 kids and the house......
Hey girls, what do you think about the "work at home" and "sell items online" in OZ? Please give me some opinions....
Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?
ngmammy,
Nice to meet you as I am also a full-time mum now. When I was still living in New Zealand, my mum always helped me to look after my kids....
But once I moved to Mel and my mum moved back to HK, I need to look after my 2 kids all by myself. :-( :-(
Actually I am doing the same things everyday....I can say I can only have some free time while they go to sleep at night....Sometimes feel so stressful if they being naughty.....but when we go out, many ppl will said to me "you need to be proud of yourself as you can look after 2 kids all by youself"....
So sometimes my 1/2 heart is frighting with my other 1/2 heart ---- > C9 (but still very young and PRETTY..hahaha) or part-time C9. Coz I don't know will I get more stresses if I go back to work while still looking after the kids.......
Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?

Re: Any mummy plan to going back to work or currently working part-time ?
MichelleShi,
Really! What a coincidence! Great, so what day of the week do you usually come to Hurstville? As for myself, I am better on the weekdays because during the school hours, I am "C9Ah 太", after school, i am "C9ah 4"
