Hi, I have asked some parents of both schools, I think that the Boham Road Primary's work load is not much as outsider said for the first year. In contrast, SLS will have Dictation every week (one week for English and one week for English) and un-told math testing regularly. And the graduate students from Boham Road Primary are top tier students at King's College.
And Boham Road Primary has 2 classes for Primary 1 only, so I think the resources is enough. Sure SLS is also a good school.
Regarding SLS's after school homework class, actually they find the SLS College students to manage the class, not a teacher. So it is not very useful. I am a working mum as well, I plan to enroll my son to homework class outside.
At last and importantly we have no religion. Although we do not object my son to have religion in the future, but a no religion school will make us more comfortable. And actually we have 15 points only but so lucky can get a seat in the first, I can't say anything to give up the offer.
But both schools are good schools, no matter you choose either one, you have no lose, right? Hope it can help, thanks.
