Application approval takes 6 months on average!
You better lodge your application ASAP, then call to find out what you need to do until your application is approved.
Note that Partner (permanent) is processed in Melbourne, and Partner (temporary) is processed in capital cities.
Since your current visa expires in July, you better ring to find out what the correct procedure is in your case.
