There is something we cud not simply compare without thinking others. Say the way your family uses the cars
Let me ask you a few questions before ...
(1) are you turning on the air/cond while you ignit the car
(2) are you having the air/cond on most of the time while you are driving
(3) are you driving in short distance say less than 2-3km/use of car
(4) do you stop the engine while you waiting less than 10 mins
Let me know if you have the above and will explain what makes your car behave the way.
If this is the case, you have to drive the car more often and in a longer distance.
It will shorten the life of the battery if you're not drive it so frequently and always turn on the air-conditioner.
The case in Vancouver and HK is quite different, even though your family not always drive the car but whenever they drove the car, the distance is longer than that in HK so it has sufficient time to recharge the battery.
I am sorry to hear your echo having problem again. In my opinion, however, you drive the car too less la. Do you know: even you don't use the car, the car battery is still gradually running out and then die... So, that's why some 'holiday drivers', they also don't drive their car often, but they still turn on the car for a while everyday in order to keep the battery alive.
Haha... I still confident about Toyota car. Japan cars, like pianos, are more suit to Hong Kong climate/ weather.
ah... May be you can drive to a mall which is more far away from your home, like 又一城
Don't be afraid. As you have more road experience, you will be more confident on your driving skills even when you are not familiar with the traffic condition.
this is 3rd battery .. already change 2 b4.. sigh...
i just told my friend. he said his alphard cannot start too. he drive once per week..
i wonder is toyota battery problem?
it is strange....
as i have a echo over 6 years, and the condition of the battery is still good even sometimes i just drive once a week or 2 weeks. the battery is also 6 yrs old.
maybe there are some problems related to other parts.
i think your echo (1 yr 10moths old) is still under warrenty, right?
So ask Toyota to check and fix it .
