In addition to some tailored made books, you could make your own speak-aloud books whenever you have the corresponding MP3 files. It is very easy to match one plastic tape with one read-along / sing-along MP3 for one book. As the pen got a pause function by pressing a button, I could read the story books (those by Eric Carle, books issued by Barefoots and Child's Play) with my toddler using the original soundtracks.
It is a simple approach to lazy parents like me. If you have time, you could use software to split the soundtrack into several MP3 files to achieve speak-aloud page by page.
