The maid needs to go to the HK indo consulate to 報到. If she returns home for vacation without 報到 to the HongKong indonesia consulate, she will not be able to exit Indonesia to come back to HK. It happened to my helper and she needed to pay $1,000HKD fine before the indonesian custom released her.
You have a pretty good agent who informed you of this requirement, mine did not.
