My maid work in singapore 4 yr and some mid East country 4 yr. Quite smart, Eng Ok cantonese OK (learn v fast), cook also Ok. Everything is OK but personality bad ,so fire now.
don't expect Yan Yan will be clean la, u always keep an eye on her, otherwise......u know i ask my Yan Yan to handwash one bb cloth, she dare to use ＂拖地個水筒" to wash, luckily i saw and shout at her, and she dare to say yesterday also used this; now i decided to let her wash all bb cloth once more in front of me.
They never use brain to do things and never ask
I have recently hired a "yan yan" who worked in Singapore for 3 contracts. So far she is okay, clean and hardworking, though my wife and I monitor her do everything and give a lot of instructions. (Because my wife is still in her post-natal vacation)
I would like to say that communication and clear instruction is very important, and besides instructions, tell them the reason behind. Don't set your expectations sky high and you won't disappoint. Hope your maids be helpful and obedient.
My Indo-maid worked in Singapore for 3 years. For more than 1 year Until now I'm satisfied on her performance.
Honest speaking she dosen't have much work to do since she only do the cleaning and cook dinner. My son goes to full day kindergarten and school provides breakfast and lunch.
But compare her with my last Philipino maid she's SO good. And cooking is acceptable, and most important working with sense.
