Francesca always uses her right hand. We think she is right-handed. I bought a "magic mat" recently-> from tommie tippee. It holds the bowl on the table. I always put the bowl in front of Francesca with the mat (she like throwing food away...if not she will knock the bowl down...) + two spoons. One for her, one for me~ then she can feed herself if she wants
