my phone is equipped w gps. just install a software will do. but gps doesn't work well in urban areas because there're tooooooo many highrise bldg. lost connection very often.
use gps to help get the way country park for bbq is ok!
btw, gps won't provide traffic jam info; and the "turn right", "turn left" are always too late ...
I am using Dopod D810 too... Actually, I put Mio P550 in the car and use Dopod D810 in general.
Dopod D810 w/o GPS... Base on news in the Internet, they found GPS chips in the Dopod D810 but this feature is not enabled by the manufacturer at this moment.
Thus, you can install Mapking in your D810 but you cannot use GPS unless you buy a GPS receiver.
FYI, I was using Holux GPSlim 236 in the past. You can consider Holux GPSlim 236 or 240.
It's not necessary for daily use... however, base on my past experience, it's good if
1) you do not know how to go to a place you never been such as 錦田鄉村俱樂部, 元朗南生圍... it can show you a correct path to there...
2) warn you where is police's standard photo taking camera
3) warn you when your driving speed is too high...
I only have the Mapking 7 version. I wanted to buy the Mapking 10, but the staff of computer centre told me that Mapking 10 was not available. Can you tell me where to buy the Mapking 10?, Thank you
