it seems to me that it depends on a few things:
- are you buying 3rd party insurance only or comprehensive insurance?
- do you have No Claim Bonus before?
- what type of car are your driving?
- price of your car?
holding a car license doesn't matter unless you have 5+ year driving experience.
It can be few thousands or over 10K for normal car.
