Rice cereal quantity required hfor 9-mth baby

How much rice cereal should I give for a 9-mth baby? Some books say 3 tablespoons, are they talking about 3 tablespoon of rice cereal before mixing w/ milk/water? or after being mixed w/ milk/water?

Has your baby tried any solid food before? If so, he/she should start with 2/3 tablespoons. That is the amount after mixing with water/milk.

By the way, veggie/meat should be introduced at 8/9 months.
