I have joined cordlife. Also, both of us can have $500 refund. You can pm me.

I would like to provide more information to you. As far as I know, heathbaby provided a more client based service but it is a Taiwan company. It depends if you trust a Taiwan company or not.

Cordlife is more strict but it's an Australia company which is a much bigger company.

Cryolife is the oldest one in Hong Kong. (Around 10 years.)

Am planning and doing analysis. Have only been to the seminar to Cryolife and Healthbaby, not yet go to Cordlife. Lab visit only went to Healthbaby, plan to visit Cryolife after CNY.

Have find out a website which give some information on how to choose a cord blood bank, hope it would be a useful reference for those who intend to.:-P :-P

Hi all,

I have asked few co-workers around, here's the comments:

1) healthy baby- it's relatively expensive. however, it offers you two types of technologies for storage. my co-worker said that it has more advnaced technology than other two.
2) my co-worker visited health baby site and it's in Science Park. the other two are in factories. my co-worker said that the chance of having factories burn down is higher than science park.
3) I asked my husband and he said the chance of having science park to shut down is higher than having it in factories.
4) my co-worker told me no to sign up until there is a baby expo. it's cheaper to join there.

I'll do more research and share with you all.

Thanks for your information However, what is baby expo? Personally, I like heathbaby more, however, my husband and mu friends said the management of most Taiwan company is not so good. As far as I know, cryolife is a local/China company and it is not so big. Do you have imformation about this? As we have to store the chord blood for over 18 years, is it better to choose a more reliable company. Because of this, we decided to join chordlife. Do we make a right choice? How about you?

sorry for late reply. I haven't continued my research until now. I called up cordlife, they said it's their 2 years anniversary. if you sign up now, you will have 880HKD coupon subtract from your plan.

I spoke to my doctor and he recommended cordlife. but I guess it depends the hospital you go to. Also, please check with your hospital whether they put extra charge on the top of that. I heard that for some other hospital, the doc himself/herself will put extra charges as well.

I don't have the final decision yet. but I'll share with you once I have it.

我有幫大仔儲臍血. 那時香港好似只有cryolife一間.
呢胎我都會幫妹妹儲臍血. 基於分散投資可分散風險的原因, 我老公同我的同事都話妹妹應該跟第二間公司儲. 不過我仲未決定邊間好.
我問過我的產科醫生, 佢話基本上呢3間的technologies都差不多, 冇話邊間好d或冇咁好喎.

I have joined cordlife as it is an Australian company and also publicly listed, so more trustworthy.

If anyone wants referral, pm me as we can both get $500 rebate + you can also get the anniversary discount, so will be saving $1380.

I am considering Cordlife as well because it is the only multinational cord blood bank organised in HK. Although Cryolife has longer history in HK, it is run by local guy and not internationally operating. Do you know how long the anniversary discount last?

I joined cryolife for 18 year plan but I only get the HKD500 discount??!!! Anyone knows why???

5-year plan is HKD6500. On top of this, there is one-off enrolment fee of HKD1500 and processing fee of HKD8000.

After serious consideration, we decide to join HealthBaby because they have better storage technology and their terms & conditions are more fair compared with others.
