I received a Registered Letter today from HK Police. I think it's the No Criminal Offence Record. Shall I open it to check or send to the IMMI directly ? (Since I've no idea what is it inside. )
I thought they will send to the IMMI directly.

When I applied the No criminal record from HK police, I also received a letter from them
I through No criminal record should send directly to ImmI not to me
Finally I opened it and HK Police noticed me my application can not processed
and stated the reason.

The reason : missing Australia Police stamp on my finger print .
I took it back to Australia Police and asked them to stamp it.
Australia police forget this step so the finger print was invalid.

then I sent it back to HK Police again .

ml 123, yeah i had same problem as you when i did the fingerprint!!! it totally wasted my time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Wow.....sorry to hear about that. In fact HK police mentions clearly about the requirement of the fingerprints. Hence we made sure everything is ok before we step out the Police Station.

I finally opened the letter and it states if No criminal offence is shown my record willl be send to the IMMI directly within 4 weeks of working days. Seems like this is an acknowledgement of my application.

haha....ML 123, 我唔止俾多一次 registered post 錢, 而且我要去銀行開多張 bank draft, 因為hk police 的收費同時調整。我去銀行開張 20 蚊港紙的 bank draft (因為上次開了張 185 hkd 舊收費) 但收 30 蚊澳洲紙手續費, 個銀行 staff 都話 " what ?? 20 蚊 hkd is nothing, but 30 aud service charge for the bank draft." well " i say no another choice"!! its bad luck!!!

ml 123,我估我地係去同一間 police station!! haha

I asked my sis drop in the application for me in HK. Hence she also prepared the cheque for me. It save time & cost

Please refer to this link and READ IT CAREFULLY

First You need to get :
1) A letter from IMMI , which states you have to apply the No Criminal Offence record from HK for you visa application

2) Go to the local police station, tell them you need to get a FULL SET FINGERPRINTS to get the No Criminal Offence record from Kong Kong and they will know what to do (Might need to make an appointment)

3) Download , fill in all the required form(s) from the link as above. Make neccessary copies of ID, Passport etc. Issue a bank draft and send the application to HK Police through REGISTERED POST.

OR to save time & cost, you can simply send the application to your family/ friend in HK (Also through REGISTERED POST) and ask them issue a cheque for you and deliver the application for you.

I believe all types of visa application is not smooth and the IMMI asks for more that we expected. In addition, we have to wait for an indefinite period of time.
