For me, i prefer to buy a cheaper piano first since you donno if your kid has interest on learning it ... and it's better than you go down piano ctr for practising. Like my kid, i need her stay in piano at least 0.5 -1hr per day. If you don't have a piano at home, how can you do that? My kid is now using Bachmann which cost $8000 a yr ago....
I would rather to buy her a high quality one if she can pass higher level, like maybe several years after.
