What style was it? Did they say why it can't be made?
I went to one just not too long ago, which has much better/detail service than others that I have been to. I have not gotten my orders back yet but will let you know how good/bad they are after receiving.
The one I went to is pretty good with modifying styles for customers. But I have not gotten my shoes back yet. If the shoes are good after trying, I will let you know where it is.
HAve u ever tried shoegirl? I ordered a pair of heels and the sample is pointed-toe. Then, I asked them to change to round toe and u could also choose the height of heels.

The building is just across the the dior store. The building entrance is next to the store which sells man shoes and bags (forgot the name).
The heels I bought are around $650-680. Depends the leather you chose. I just ordered another pair of silver heels and it's $650. It will take 2-3 weeks for the production coz the SA told me is high season now.
Personal opinion: I was used to order from Prestige. It used to have many new styles and they really can tailor made good heels to fit me. But then they didn't have variety of new styles and their heels are not as comfortable as before. So I start buying from shoe girl.
I recently bought a pair of new shoes from Shoegirl in TST. Be frank, don't expect too much for the new styles in Shoegirl. They intend to keep the style of shoes in their shop and just allow little alternations (e.g. change of colour, height of heels). They will not tailormade / design the shoes for you and may be this will increase the cost and the workmanship. If you want trendy styles, try to search from Lane Crawford and though the price is much higher.
But shoegirl has a variety of leathers. If you are lucky served by the boss Jennifer, the service is of course much better and get more advice from her.
When I ordered my 1st pair of shoes, shoe girl really didn't have all sizes available for each style. So I tried another similar style. Then, they will mark down the shape of your feet and measurement. I tried to ask shoe girl to change pointed-toe heels into round-to, and they did it for me.
My last pair from Prestige was almost 1 1/2 yr ago.
Then, I worn a pair of black heels to see customer and exactly the same case on Claudia was happened one me. The nails on the heels were all sticking upwards. Coz it was already late at night and I couldn't buy new shoes. My colleague helped me to use blutak to stick the heel and bottom of the shoes. It was very embarrasing! So I didn't order shoes from Prestige anymore.
