If I were you, will fire the maid immediately and hire a part-time maid to help.
I prefer physically tireness (ie. do the work by myself) than mentally abused by the maid! Also, it is not good to the family atmosphere if you scold the maid too much!
I strongly recommend you to terminate this maid since it is even more difficult for you to change the maid if you need to go back to work when your baby starts to get used to stay with her.
My maid is also a super stupid dumb who will destroy everything that is expensive or you like most (no matter how many times you remind her to be careful). But I need to remind you that you can only deduct $300 each time for her mistake. My maid has damaged the marble kitchen top of my new home while our first few days moved in. She drove me nuts but we still keep her since she really loves my baby and treats her well.
But your maid is useless if she does not know how to take care of your baby but just makes you angry. Terminate her asap while you are still on maternity leave.
I had a really very very bad experience with my last bun bun... I had not let her touch my baby and even didn't allow her to prepare milk already at the last two months...but ...she still got the chance to do harm to my baby... It was really a horrible experience.....So take a serious consideration..... and don't take any chance.....
