I’m planning to visit Taiwan at around 23rd week of Jul & I will base on ABCD mom suggested itinerary for our 4 days 3 nights trip. As I need to take care parents & my son (5 years old) total 5 pxs & this is my first time organize 自悠行, could you please help to answer the following questions?
o Living at 西門or火車站 will be more suitable一家大細?
o What time will be close for night market 西門?
o 長虹, 天成,王朝 which one is clean & bigger?
o Pay more $1K per night stay at春天 is it worth?
o For my 5 years old’s son do I need to order extra bed for him/twin bed is fit for 3 pxs?
o Do I need to book package (flight ticket + hotel) – one month in advance?
o 四海，實惠 looks cheaper than Wing On & Hong Tai, are they reliable?
o Living at 西門or火車站 will be more suitable一家大細?
火車站 if you only have these 2 choices, cos 西門 is more like 油麻地 & 旺角 and is much noisier & 雜.
o What time will be close for night market 西門?
not until midnight.
o 長虹, 天成,王朝 which one is clean & bigger?
長虹 is no good. 天成 is OK & convenient ,王朝 is also OK, it was HOLIDAY INN before, but it's on the east side, farther from 西門or火車站
春天 is quite nice and the hot spring style is more suitable HK people 'cos you can wear swimming suit. the only concern is whether you want to bath in hot spring in summer.
I went there in Apr and have hot spring at 春天 for two days. The first day is enjoyable 'cos the weather was a bit cool (at 20-22C). The second day is not that enjoyable 'cos the weather started to be warm (about 25C).
If you want to 早機去, 晚機返, you better book it earlier 'cos the flights for packages are quite easily fully booked during summer holidays.
Thanks for your sharing. As I plan to go zoo & 清境 agent suggested me to stay at 西門or火車站? As Michtony said 西門 is more noisier & 雜. Any other good suggestion?
As my son only 5 yrs old do I need to book extra bed? Twin Bed in Taiwan comment size is 4X6/king size bed?
May be, you can take 火車站 as a reference point. See what hotels are available for packages. Hotels near 火車站 means it is usually convenient for you to go anywhere as it is quite a central point.
However, you can also choose hotels near 捷運車站 if that 捷運車站 is not far from 火車站. This should also be quite a good choice.
Pls note that taxi in Taiwan only take 4 passengers, not 5.
For twin beds, if it is 3-stars hotel like 天城, it is only two single beds (3 feet). For 4-stars, it depends (usually single beds unless the hotel is expensive). For 5-stars, their twin beds are two queen beds (4 feet). When you choose the packages, you can ask the travel agent or access the hotel website to view the photos. Quite a lot of the hotels in Taipei have photos or details on their website gar.
