what brand of facial cream for bb ?? my baby boy always gets rash on his face easily.... and he likes to rub his face ....

I saw a lot of mami using Avene.. but I couldn't find it.. is it Avene? or Avent??

Any mom use Ego cream??

My son had rash on his face. I keep using Oilatum cream for his face and body. Right now, his skin is much better. A friend of mine also recommends me using Ego, which is good for rashes.

My daughter usually gets rash on her back and neck. Her paediatrician introduced a Zinc cream B.P. to me and I find that it works pretty well for my daughter. It should be available at some of the large drugstores. I have also heard that both of Oilatum cream and Ego cream are good for rashes but my daughter has never tried.

I use Cetaphil lotion on my girl's face now.
During winter, I used QV Ego cream but I am afraid that cream is too much for summer so I change to lotion now.

Zinc cream is a barrier cream for use on baby's nappy rash, it works as a barrier to stop urea from urine & poo poo to irritate baby skin. It should be applied after cleaning baby's buttom as a barrier layer.

Zinc cream B.P. contains zinc oxide (30-34% w/w).

As instructed by the paediatrician, it can be used 3 to 4 times a day when there is rash.

My daughter's paediatrician said it could be used on baby's bottom, back, neck and face (coz rash usually appears on those areas) and some other skin allergies.

But have you figured out why your son gets rash? Does this happen very often after he rubs his face?

The first most important thing is to find out why your son has rashes on his face. If it is due to dry skin then it is itchy, you could simply use some moisturing/emollient cream or ointment. But if there are inflammation, mild steroid cream may be needed but still try to avoid steroid in baby. If there is fungal infection, then some antifungal cream should be used. So the essence is 對正下葯.

To answer your question, Zinc cream can be used to help protect the skin from abrasion and irritation and also aid healing of uninfected, excoriated skin, it does no harm if use on face.

For dried skin, simply use aqueous cream or emulsifying ointment is adequate because they are the base of most cream and ointment, and they contain no fragrance..

My baby's face got 粒粒 on his face.. and once he rub his face (when he is sleepy)... then the 粒粒 will get red! It's no inflammation.. but if we apply steroid from doctor's prescription, it will go away in a day; however, as you mentioned, shouldn't apply steroid too often.. so I tried not to apply steroid ... and hoping it will go away by itself.

I'm trying to think if something he eat cause that.. but he didn't eat any new before those 粒粒 appear. The 粒粒 starts a couple weeks ago when he was catching a cold and need to take medicine....

And recently, his mouth is quite watery that always dripping salvia... would that be one of the cause? It seems it will get better if I clean his face / wipe away the saliva more often..... but it's just my guess....

my bb has been using 雙妹嘜雪花膏, too.. but I am just thinking is it okay to keep using it? coz' it didn't state it's for baby to use... that's why I stopped using it.....
