My 5 months 1 week old BB hasn't gained much weight recently, only around 0.25 in one month. He currently weighs just over 7kg. He's generally a happy baby, never seem to be hungry and sleeps through the night.

I was going to wait till he's 6 months before introducing solids, but the nurse at the clinic said breastmilk is not enough for his growth

, that's why he's not gaining weight and I should introduce solids now.

What will you do?

no need to worry as long as your baby is happy, healthy and sleeps well. Mine was about 6.5 kg when he was 7 months old. The nurse at the clinic would advise you to feed him rice cereal before 6 months old but no need to follow.

I started feeding my bb solid food when he was about 6 months. Since then, he is gaining weight.

Remember fat bb does not equal to healthy bb.

But from my experience my BB's weight grows less after the introduction of solid food and less drinking of breast milk. He was a 97 percentile BB (in respect of weight) from Month 1 to Month 7 now 10-month becomes a 75 percentile BB. (He used to drink 40oz a day, now only drinks 25oz a day)
