I wonder if there is anyone who have tried to put there kids to school in Hong Kong for a short term during holiday. Which school and how to apply? Many thanks.
If your kid is HK resident, they can study govt primary school. But you have to check if they have space for your kid to 插班。Most schools have test/exam for 插班。
Be honest, if that school have spaces and allow you to 插班 immediately , I don\'t think you will let your kid to study.
Well, we plan to go back hk on October for a month, and my daughter wants to study in hk. She said hk standard is higher. She said that to me since last Christmas when we back hk for 6 weeks holiday.
She was born in HK and moved to Australia when she was 4. She is 9 years old now. And she does kumon chinese year 5-6 level now.
I've been thinking if she could find a local public school to study, like exchanged student. She can make friends and learn some maths (Australia primary standard is really low) and chinese.
I think text book and uniform is around AU$200 - $300

Thanks your sharing. You are right, I don't think they can learn much for only a few weeks time. However, my daughter requested to go to school in HK since last Christmas we went back for 6 weeks. So I thought why not let her have a try and it'll be a good experiences for her.
I did put her ice skating, drawing and piano lessons when she went back for Christmas. But she wants to make some local friends with similar age.
