i'm trying to research on baby car seats and would like to hear more opinions, please tell me the model of your car seat and how you like it... thank you!!

We have the Graco Snugride infant seat. It is part of the Graco metrolite travel system. It was fine and my son seems content in it. He used that care seat since his 3rd day (1st car ride to get home from the hospital) till a bit after 1 year old.

I got him a Britax Decathlon convertible car seat and my son started to sit in that one when he was about 11.5 months old. It was fine too. The button could get a little bit hard/tight to press down (need to use some force) to release the strap. So far so good. (I guess the Britax marathon has that lever thing instead of the button... mayber easier to release the strap.) However, I like the extra padding on the Decathlon espscially coz my son is not big in size.

I also got the Cosco Scenera car seat for another car. That car seat is super cheap (in price) and doesn't have much padding but my son didn't complain when he sit in it. It could be a nice 2nd/extra car seat.

視付BB幾大,幾重..
你嘅budget有幾多..

birth to 1 year old, 我suggest 用infant car seat.. not covertable car seat, BB 好 fragrile, 加上冬天, 應手持infant car seat 出入.. 唔係手抱infant 上車至buckle up
*all brands almost the same.. 最好買travel system as a 1st time mom)

over 1year old 而且 over 20lbs, 就可轉用covertible car seat.. 有2隻
1隻係20-40lbs
１隻係birth -22lbs (rear face), 20-55lbs (&up..some up to 100lbs)
2隻都係5 hassel, 有shoulder +lap bell 嘅
Cosco 嘅pads 硬啲, 但好durable. (price $120-170)
Britax 係car seat嘅上價貨, pads, material 都好好, 亦durable.(Price over $200 to 300)

over 4 years old, 可以選用booster seat *high back*.. if 小朋友夠大隻.. about 5-6 years old 可用一般booster seat till 8 years old.

我Amanda 4.5yr 用Cosco covertible car seat ($149)喺我架 4X4,
High back booster car seat ($60)(for 4 yr and up) Princess style個booster 喺老公架車
第3個booster car seat{only base}($20) 喺姑丈架車.. for after school pick up(sometime)

Gabriel 1歲前用infant car seat, as佢1yr and over 20 lbs, 我哋將travel system 轉交俾hiuyeeyee.. 而Gabriel 用緊 Britax roundabout. 我哋而家都物色多一個covertible car seat, so 我哋可以架架車都有 Gabriel 自己個位.

true ... my boy was able to unbuckle the lower part of the seat-belt of the Britax Marathon when he's 2 (i assume he's not supposed to unbuckle the lower part so easily at that age).

then we bought the Cosco convertible carseat and he's unable to unbuckle the lower part of the seatbelt until he's 3 1/2 to 4 yrs old. and now he's in the Cosco instead of the Britax carseat most of the time.
i forgot what exact model it is, but i've checked its safety rating and it's as safe as the Britax ones. also it's cheaper than the Britax. forgot abt the exact price but it's definitely under $200.

Hi,

We have Graco SafeSeat Step 1 Infant Car Seat when our baby first born. When she turned one year old, we switch to Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat which is excellent as it have the latch connector for our car ( easier to install ).

I would suggest to use infant carseat before 1 years old and change to convertible carseat after 1. My son used Graco Snuggle infant carseat when he's a baby (now it becomes my daughter's) and it costed around $70. After he's old enough for facing front, we got Britax Advantage (= Roundabout) from our friend. Now, we have 3 Britax carseats (2 in our 2 cars and 1 in the gargage saved for my daughter) and we like them. Although Britax is expensive, its quality worths. You can consider Britax Marathon which costs almost $300 and Roundabout costs around $270. I bought mine in Lullaby Lane when it has its semi-annual sale and I spent $240.
