My maid said she wanted to quit the job yesterday and today she said she would give me one month notice b/c she has no money to go back to Phil. I said I would provide her air ticket, she said she wants one month notice. She said she would not terminate herself and I insist that you want to quit the job, she insists to give me 1 month notice. As her working performance is so bad that I really don't want to pay for her. She just sit down on the floor and don't pack up anything.

As I am a working mom and I have a 3 years old daughter, I don't know what she will do on my family if I let her stay for another month. My hub asked me to pay 1 month notice and sent her back to the agent. I contacted the agent and the agent talked to her then she started packing. Meanwhile, she got a call from someone(maybe her friend) and asked me to give a termination letter right away. I refused to and I said I won't give it to you until we get to the agent and she refused to go. So I call the agent and had someone talks to her ( I found out that it is a new DH who just arrived today to report the duty) and then she goes with me to the agent. I know that someone teaches her as she got many phones today and I am really

that I have to pay one month to her. So next time, if the maid wants to quit the job asks her to write the letter right a way and don't wait overnight.

When we arrived to the agent office, that maid who talked to her b4 said she gave so many troubles to the agent and stupid of playing around. Even the one who just come to HK to work know what to do (the newcomer said 'Don't hear any others Phil talking about, just do the own job well, otherwise, you can't get any job in HK). I told her that it is bad luck to me to hire her.

I think she will file the case to Labour Dept. so she can stay here longer as she got the bad friends around her.

Why you paid for one month salary to her. She didn't fire her, right? Is she want to quit the job. So, no need to pay for one month salary to her.

點解佢自己吾做, 你要比一個月人工比佢? 你叫佢即走, but 吾駛佢比一個月代通知金比你未得law

She changes her mind and she said she would give me one month notice. I said, no way as she quitted her job I won't accept 1 month notice and I don't need her to pay for 1 month notice. She can quit the job now but she just sat there don't pack anything.
