My kid is not home these days, and I really have nothing for our maid to do. She is just taking rest every day. So I want her to take 4-day annual leave now. But she prefers to use these annual leave when she goes back to Philippines, so that she can get money for it. (We will renew contract with her).
But I really have no work for her to do these days, and she is just taking a rest every day. Can I force her to take these 4-day annual leave now? What can I do?
of course you can do so but it will damage the relationship if she is really not willing to do so.
when i travelled with my girl last year, i arranged my maid to do a big clean-up at home. of course, she still had a lot of rest time but i just took it as a bonus.
i will go again by end feb. she will have 3 days free and i have already planned something for her to do. at least she will be busy for 50% of the time.
ok. I think I will let her to use her Sundays first, and then ue some annual leave.
I really cannot think of anything for her to do at home during this time. She told me she can clean this and that again and again. I said you have already cleaned, and if you clean again, you will only waste a lot of water, electricity, gas, detergent......and i dont want her to "create" work to do just to make it a "working day" for her. I told her you can sleep the whole day rather than "creating" work to do, but i really need you to take some leave these days.
