For remote control model/stuff, Mong Kong Kwang Wah Street (behind Kwang Wah Hospital) But remote stuff usually higher than $100 (many parts are easily more than $100)
For remote stuff, below $100 usually are ready-to-play toys, likr bit-char-G or Canned-remote car.
For plactic model,
UMC(環球), at YauMaTei, CausewayBay, ShaTin, Diamond Hill...etc
HingKee, at WanChai
WaiLee, at MK, WanChai
Dear dom,
Thank you for your inforamtion. I know that quality and expenses are highly related, expecially those of up-to-date toy. In fact, I just want to buy some for my kids, no matter it is out-dated or not. I hope to let them have some experiences of making the toys by following instructions. Any further suggestion .
For remote control, I think car is more easy to play as it is 2-dimention control only.
For remote control car (1:10, or 1:12), for those need to make by the user, usually got better control and running speed, control unit+car+batteries..etc, might need @1K!
But ready-to-play toys set usually $100-200, ToyRus got a lot.
Instead of remote control toys, you also can consider those non-remote control toys, ie using battery to drive the motor. The kids can make it by themselves, and after switch it on, then it can be ran! eg 4WD car, if more compact one is needed. You might consider tank.
Above can be found from the places I mentioned in my first reply.
PS : I still got about 4 mini-z (RC car) at home.. 1-2 year later if they are still working, I also will play it with my son
My first one is Altezza, then GT3, Viper, New Beatles, NSX, Lancia, Benz (new and old one), C5R, R34, 206, RX7, old Limbo.. and also Overland with bigfoot.
2 Mini-z (MR1.0 and MR1.5) are in very good condition (before I used them for racing). The other 2 are still runable. The rest were 'retired'..
The overland is for fun only (before I played it at Victory park!)
After having a baby, got less chance to play it lu.
