I just know that Protopic cream is for 濕疹. I personally think this cream might not be suitable for nappy rash. But you can consult your doctor for professional advice.
i tried protopic for my baby's red rash on face. after half hour his face turned to very red and he cried a lot. i was so scared ! then i rinsed off the cream with water but he still couldn't stop crying. my heart was broken because i knew that he felt very painful like fire burn. after almost 2 hours he calmed down and fell asleep. so i hv stopped using this cream since then.
pls pls DO NOT use this cream for nappy rash. this cream is developed only for eczema and the side effect like burning feel is very strong. it will hurt your baby if you apply it on pat pat. don't do it, pls !
try zinc oxide cream that is very good for nappy rash. i didn't remember the brand name but the cover box is brown/white color, contains about 30% of zinc oxide which is very workable for nappy rash. apply only 3 times aday. once the red rash is gone, you may stop the treatment.
Thanks all moms advise... as my friend using this cream for eczema... i saw newspaper said this is also use for nappy rash. then my friend give me little for try..... anyway,,,, i will NOT try it ,,,,,, i dont want him get pain and cry....
As far as I know from their official website, Protopic/Elidel are not targeted to be used for children under 2 years old because no clinicial testing has been done on small infants/toddlers.
