When to stop boiling milk bottles?

My baby is 8.5 months old, started solid food already. I wonder when I should stop boiling his milk bottles. When do you stop doing it?

Hi, this is Elly!!

The nurse here told me that we can stop boiling bottle when baby is 3 months old. However, I stop doing that until she started solid because I cannot boil all the things that she use like spoon, fork, bowl,plate or even a table. Just clean it and air dry. Like what the nurse said, how can I boil everything that she will touch.

Is that true??? I keep steaming/sterilizing the bottles until he is 19 months old now. My maid will not use any household detergent to clean the bottles but only use the special detergent for cleaning bottles, then steam/sterilize.

I thought we stop doing this until he stop drinking with bottles. :-P

我想問果個護士有無提及咩情況下先至係bb三個月大的時候就唔使蒸奶樽呢?
如果佢話每次飲完奶即刻徹底沖洗乾淨而唔使蒸都有d道理, 但係如果話堆埋一次先洗而又唔唔使蒸既話,似乎危險d囉. 唔好話三個月個b會有事,可能三歲的都會有事. 都知d奶漬係室溫下幾易滋生細菌啦.而且再仔細都可能有殘漬洗唔乾淨,蒸左安心好多.

可能我個仔住過醫院, 雖然唔係腸胃問題. 但lum 起大人, 細路果種辛苦法, 就情願平時工夫多d麻煩d,都要減少一個可以致病既機會啦.

I use sterilizer. It's quite convenient, just put in water and press a button. Since the sterilizer is there, if I don't use it, it just a waste.
Therefore I keep sterilizing the bottles even baby is 20 months now.
For all her food and feeding utensil, I use hot boiled water to rinse it before use.
I think I will stop sterilizing until she stop using bottles. I hope she can use cup skillfully by 2.
我覺得那個姑娘話3個月大已經可以唔烚奶瓶係言過其實.
有起事上來,大人細路都辛苦.因我BB兩個月大已試過肚疴,所以我覺得都係小心D好.

my son is now 15 months old.. i also keep steaming all the bottles as bottles are cleaned by my maid... it's better to steam it before feeding him law//

up to 6 mths should be ok...babies start to drink water from cups which aren't sterilized as well.

I AM AGREE,如果BB3個月便不再STEAM MILK BOTTLE,好似早D,我自己也是STEAM BOTTLE 至囝囝2YRS才停止STEAM的,而且每一種他要放入口的用具,如SPOON,FORK,CUP等,每次他用之前我也要用BOILING WATER 沖一次才放心的,直到現在囝囝3YRS我也是這樣做
