Would you please advise how to go to blue mountain by taking public transport? Also, I would like to know where to buy the tickets for the 3 tramsways. Many thanks!

Agree.
However, for gold coast, if you can self-drive, then recommend self-drive. Pick-up and drop-off services are expensive and inconvenient (time is fixed, can't change).
For Sydney, public transport is fine (get the local Octopus card, daily cap AUD 15).
If more than 3 adults, then it is cheaper/same price to get a taxi from the airport into the city than by train/airport bus.
