Need help URGENTLY!!!

Hi there,

Last night, when I was pumping milk, I found that some part of the right breast cannot be emptied(still "hard" and painful). I ignored it and went to bed. This morning, the situation worsen: the right breast was swallen and very painful. I tried to pump out milk again, but still, that part could not be emptied. Then I tried to let my bb suck from that breast, hoping this could help. But again, that part is still "hard". I am having fever now (38.8 C). What's the problem with me? Should I go to general doctor or O&G doctor???

Please help!!!

去看醫生啦！如硬的部位有紅腫，你可能乳腺炎了！
告訴醫生你是餵人奶的，普通科醫生都應該懂得開適合的抗生素給你！

但患側乳房仍可餵bb或將奶吸出啊！get well soon！

你多數是乳腺炎,除睇醫生外,記住俾bb吸清d奶,如bb唔夠力吸,或許請你老協助.

I think you may have the mastitis (乳腺炎). I had this when my little girl was 4 weeks old, same symptom as you have (hard part, reddness and swelling breast, fever 38.6C). You should see a doc and take antibiotics for at least 5 days. Of course, you have to tell the doc that you are breastfeeding, then he will prescribe a suitable antibiotics to you. You can keep on breastfeeding your baby.... their sucking can relieve your pain and the hard part of your body. Also, hot pack & massage right before breastfeeding can help you to relieve the problem. If you need more info, pm me.

At the 2 times I had this problem, I visited Chinese herbalist for tea. It was effective.
My friend had so and saw doctor of western medicine. The doctor just suggested to do minor surgery.

情況如何啊?
有參考過母乳餵哺資料庫內的資料嗎?

Dear bb女, chungpo, HoBB, pearlkam and Glad,

Thank you very much for your reply and care. I visited the doctor and he has perscribed antibiotics to me. After taking the antibiotics for 2 days, my situation have improved, but there are still some hard parts on my right breast. I hope I can recover after the 7-day antibiotics treatment.
