how to go to Thomasland in Japan??

Dear all
I am new to this forum, I saw some suggestions from all of you, it was very kind of all parents and your suggestions were normally very good.
So, can anyone tell me the easy way to Thomasland and Disneyland, I want to bring my son (4 years old) to these two popular places!
I will spend 5 days in Japan coming October. Can I book the tickets in HK or Just buy in Japan. Do I need to stay one night in Thomasland and Disneyland. Any Tour goes to these two places, if yes, I might be join the tour, if not, I need to plan my routine by myself!

PS. My son loves Thomas very very much, and he watch Thomas on the Thomasland website, he feel like want to go at once!

我arm arm去完東京,都有去disneyland & thomas land,我post左小小資料出黎,妳可以look look~

japan tour

Thomas Land - 係新宿站西口有個shuttle bus station,係直接去到富士急,約90分鐘車程,最好早一日book啦.富士急側邊有間酒店,妳可以stay,另外富士山都有溫泉酒店,如果妳去浸溫泉又可以stay.不過如果妳好似我咁,淨係去thomas land,即日來回已ok.

Disneyland - 我係搭hotel shuttle去,返就搭地鐵去新宿,係舞濱站搭到去東京站,跟住轉車去新宿站.另外,係disneyland都有巴士返新宿,不過班次唔密.

So, do I need to book all hotels or tickets in HK?? Cos' this is my first time to bring my son to oversea, I don't want to miss any buses or trains, otherwise I will be get lost! This is my big scare, and that's why I ask so early to plan my journey!

MTR to Disney is the most convenient. It is easy and you can't be lost. You can buy the passport tickets there using Credit card.

I also want to go to Thomasland the next time I go to Japan.

<<book all hotels or tickets in HK>>,妳意思係咪book溫泉酒店&富士急 bus & entrance ticket? 我就係香港買hotel & air ticket package,去到日本就早一日去買巴士飛,去到park先買入場券,因為我要睇埋天氣先決定邊日去,所以唔會預早買入場券law~

Yes, you catch my meaning, you are clever. I have to prepare the booking of the air tickets and hotels.

I will take bus to Thomasland by ourself early in the morning will buy the bus tickets and when arrive Thomasland then will buy the tickets. I will spend one day in Thomasland and go back to hotel at evening.

I will spend two days in Disneyland and may be stay one night in Disneyland hotel. And if there's any shuttle from Disneyland hotel to airport????

Yes, you can take airport shuttle bus from Disneyland Hotel to airport, please access the web site as below. There are some hotel in Disneyland beside the Disneyland Ambassador Hotel and Disneyland Miracosta Hotel, you can also find those offical hotel in this web site. My experience was it is cheaper to book the Disneyland Hotel directly rather than through the agent (either Ambassador and Miracosta), but you need to call to Japan, they did not accept fax booking since last year Dec, no email for communication.

It is a good time to go to Japan in Oct, not too cold. Hope you have a great time for your trip to Japan. Remember to get the "fast pass" first when you go to Disneyland, it can help you to save time. When you get the "fast pass", at the bottom of the slip, it indicate the "time" which you can get the "next fast pass", so you did not need to queue up. After 5:00 p.m., since most of the student and travel group will left, you did not need to take long time to queue up to play. But I learned from my travel agent that some HK tour start to go to the Disneyland in the evening, because it is cheaper after 6:00 p.m., unless Sun, no group is allow to enter the park.

ic~如果妳唔嚴麻煩,分開買機票&book hotel會平d.但係如果妳想方便,咁就買package la,不過當然會貴dd啦~

照我所知,只有<日航天地>有disney resort package買.pls click日航天地

airport有limousine to disney架,去東x遊買limousine ticket仲有9折tim~

另外,妳可以上thomasland個網址,間酒店仲有幾間房係有thomas架~pls click highland resort hotel

Thank you so much of your help and suggestions, I have my first concept to Thomasland and Disneyland now, I will plan my journey later, and let you all know my schedule! Please give me comments on my schedule when I post on this forums.

It's good to visit disney in October as there is Halloween.

If you can go later, end Nov is better as the X'mas decoration is very very beautiful but the price is still not so high~

But it'll cold law~ :-(

You are always welcome.

Just want to remind you if you decided you stay in Disneyland Ambassador Hotel or Disneyland Miracosta Hotel which fall on Saturday or Sunday, you better to book the room as soon as possible. The rooms booking can make 6 month in advance. Because the booking is always full during Saturday and Sunday, I used to book the room 5 to 6 months in advance (especially for Disneyland Miracosta Hotel).

In addition, in HK, you can also check the booking of the Disneyland Ambassador Hotel, Miracosta Hotel and other official Disney hotel via JAL, Satellite Travel (衛X旅遊, this is the sole agent to sell the ticket of 龍貓博物館, 又名三鷹博物館), and 專X旅運 also provide package for stay in Disneyland Hotel. I learned from this discussion forum that the 西X旅遊 also have, but I did not check on this.

I used to take the evening flight back to HK, if you departure from Tokyo Disneyland in the afternoon around 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., maybe you can consider to spend half day in the 葛西臨水族館, you only need to take one stop from Disneyland’s 舞

I will try to contact some of the travel agent, but do I need to book the tickets of Disneyland in HK (cheaper or not??) Or just buy the tickets in Disneyland hotel, which way you prefer...???

Thank you so much of your info, Evelyn, I will check it out!
One more question, which is the fast way to Thomasland, I mean by bus or by train. And which way save my time??
I will be stay in Keio Plaza Hotel for 1 or 2 nights (Thomasland)and then from Keio Plaza Hotel to (Disneyland), will stay in Disneyland for 2 nights as well, then from Disneyland to airport!!
My journey will start at 17 0r 18 October to 21 October.

I also stayed at Keio Plaza last time.

You should take the express bus to Thomasland, it's save your time and $. As mentioned in my previous messages, you can buy the bus ticket at the 新宿西口京王高速巴士站. From the Keio Plaza, just walk straight to the shinjuku station and you can see the 新宿西口京王高速巴士站 on the way. It's just opposite to the Camera 綜合館. It takes around 90 minutes to Fuji Q Highland. The people at the 高速巴士站 speaks English well, at least you'll understand what they are talking about.

Did you buy your tickets at that morning (what time they start selling the tickets, is there any counters, do you still remember the schedule of the bus to thomasland, did the bus arrive thomasland at the entrance) or have to book before the day you go?? How about go back to Keio Plaza?? Same bus???
I think bus is easier for me, no need to transfer the train and find our train station.

I bought the 2-way (to and return) bus ticket one day before. Not sure the open time of counter (should be office), but I bought the tickets in the morning (around 10am) before I went out for sight-seeing.

You have to buy the ticket to Fiji Q Highland (coz Thomasland is located inside the Fuji Q Highland). As I remember, the bus runs once per hour in the weekdays. I took 9:10am bus to Fuji Q Highland and return at around 3:10pm (I bought 5:10pm tickets originally). You can leave earlier if there are seats availability, but you have to book the tickets at the bus stop counter of Fuji Q Highland in advance. Remember, only leave earlier, but no later~

Yes, the bus stops at the entrance of Fuji Q Highland.

Your maid need to apply a Japan visa, in order not to misleading you, I suggested you to call to Japan Consulate to check directly. I learned from my friend that you need to submit some supporting document, for example, working contract. Last year when I called to Japan Consultate to request for transfer my daughter's Japan visa in her new passport, they are very nice and helpful (my daughter's Japan visa is valid for 3 years,but she has to change a new passport in last year, so I have to check the details beforehand)
