Because they think they have another two years to "play" with you. If you don't like me, fire me lor but make sure you compensate me enough. That's the only reason, I think. Poor us!
my first maid started her 2nd contract in May. before signing the contract, i've already told her that i've seen thousands of cases where the maids turned bad in the 2nd contract. i advised her not to follow them. on the bright side, i told her if she continued her good performance, i would consider giving her 'bonus' at the end of the 2nd contract. i hope it would serve as incentive...
if i were you, i will fire them and do not renew their contract. For new maid, at least there will be a few month 'honeymoon' period. Maids are usually like that, when they are familar with you and they got money, then their performance will go down.
