Travel by bus with baby

have you got the experience to take bus with your baby?

My daughter will go to take playgroup. Can she take the bus together with maid?

What are your opinion?

Hello! It's me.

We take bus with Matthew from Ma On Shan to Prince Edward on every Sun. We also take bus with him from our home to relatives/friends/colleagues' home and v.v. Bus is our usual tranportation method.

I don't see there's any problem. One trouble is if there's no seat available. It's because you have to hold child in your arm and hold the handrail. It's difficult to balance and dangergous when the bus is moving.

You know my son is very active but I still can able to control him in the bus. I let Matthew sit one seat and next to me. He loves to see the things outside so usually he can sit quietly.

Btw, ask your maid to clean Rachel's hands after taking the bus. You know children like to touch everything in the new environment.

some of my relatives dose worry about that! and I am afraid I can't take my daughter to playgroup each time. so I just collect information from other parents!

oh, what did your relatives say? what do they worry? Mmm, do they worry that air condition or people are not too clean for young children? I once thought about that but so far it's not too worse.

I see many parents with their babies or children on the bus, and so far we don't see any problem.

If Rachel was very young, say 6mths old, I would say the bus maybe crowded to a little baby. However, Rachel is now 1.5yrs old so I think it's ok to her.

I think it's a good experience to let our children taking more transportation if possible so that they can explore more.

my mother in law worries that the maid cannot handle the child when travelling by bus. She said that she may not pay attention to my daughter, looking elsewhere,especially when the bus suddenly stopped.

I will try to go by bus together with my maid and my daughter this Saturday to see if there is any problem.
I will buy an octopus to her. What do you think?
