我覺得 in the night 都有人講, 例如:
- She was awakened at some point in the night by her recurring nightmare.
- During the summer, bears sometimes sleep a few hours in the night.
以前曾經有個英文老師教過，外國人喜歡享受於陽光下，佢地會形容自己溶入陽光之中，所以會用in the morning, in the afternoon,in the evening，即是在太陽裹面。
但夜晚，很多時候暗示黑暗，寂靜⋯等比較負面的感覺，所以佢地唔會將自己溶入黑夜，即是不會用in night
