去完美國旅行，番到屋企發現個把鎖俾美國運輸安全局TSA剪爛檢查行李，淨係留低張字條話遺憾，不過唔會負責賠償任何損失，旅遊保險藍十字又話海關檢查造成的損壞唔會賠，就係咁樣個千多元重係借番ge就咁無喇。

我上次又係去完美國返黎, 我個0急有用條帶膊住, 返黎吾見左條帶, 返到屋企先見條帶放左係我個0急入面, 不過剪爛左. 個0急個鎖就無爛, 我無你咁傷!

美國自911後己要求行李不可上鎖
因為要方便佢地檢查，
佢地講明係有權對剪爛鎖檢查行李嫁
所以大家要小心ｄ啦！

有個牌子既鎖頭係可以通過美國海關查而唔需要剪鎖架!!

很多牌子都有出, 去買時留意包裝上註明是"TSA"認可. 不過唔平, 價錢約$90>. 我是在永安買的. 其實很多新出的喼也有內置TSA鎖的.

你個situation 係冇得賠架, 因為冇人可以鎖行李, 所有喼都唔可以加密碼, 否則後果自付呢!
勸你哋別上當, 所有喼出入美國海關都係唔可以上鎖, 冇任何一個牌子例外. 就算註明是"TSA"認可, 只要開唔到, 一律照剪! 返而你唔加鎖, or lugguage 內冇金屬, 海關就好少開你嘅行理.

剛從美國回來，用幾十蚊兩個嘅TSA鎖，街邊補鞋舖平過永安。 四個喼之中海關開咗兩個，佢地會放張紙喺喼入面話俾你聽。

I've been to USA and back 3 times since 911,
have never locked my suitcases,
both for internal flights and international flights,
have never lost anything.

Just keep the more-valuable items in cabin-luggage,
keep money and mobile phone and camera etc with you,
and you will save a lot on suitcases.

I have also packed things like books and bottles of tablets eg Vitamins, stationery, and boxes of Lego, in big carton boxes, and they all passed as check-in luggage. No problem either. Didn't need to open the carton boxes.

Apart from USA, any other place will have these kind of security check??

what do mean by 'never locked the suitcases'??
u just close it and not change the number? or u don't add another lock??
is the suitcase is zip, do u add a lock??

--- correct, did not use the numerical lock, just used the open and close lock after closing the suitcase.

or u don't add another lock??
--- correct, did not add lock.
Did not add that belt for luggage, but re the other BK mum's experience, if security check had to untie that luggage belt then they will put it back inside the suitcase.

is the suitcase is zip, do u add a lock??
--- no, did not add lock, not even the tiny useless ones.

If you want to make sure whether your destination country has any extra security check requirements, just search for info from your airline's website.
