I will fire the maid next week. She has been working for nearly 10 months. The agent said the maid can stay HK for 2 weeks. If she found the job or any relatives live with her, she can stay HK for longer time. Pls advise - If I fire her next week, can I inform the Immigration immediately ? Or after 2 weeks ? Pls advise. You should inform immigration right after you fire her. Of if you are very sure that you will fire her next week you could fax a letter to immigration dept now with the following information
Contract number
name and id of the helper
last date of service
reason
Thanks for your advice. I originally planned to terminate the maid on next Tue (20 July 04). This week, the maid changed. Very hardworking! We think that she will not leave until receiving the salary on 23 July 04. I want to ask for your advice - if the maid borrowed the money $10,000 from the PrimeCredit and she left HK, did her friend (who guarantee) need to return the money to the financial agent for the maid ?
