Personally think the job market of Adelaide is quiet than other cities and I d say it's not too hard to get a job here but it really take time ! Do not expect there are anything happen in the first few months.
Also depends on what sort of job you are looking for. It shoudnt be a problem to get a low level job like waitress or kitchen hand or etc. however it could take longer time for you to have others like admin or professional job ,especially if you are not a PR/TR
All I can say is there are so many international students here and plus locals but the market just not big enough to handle it. thus you need to be patient

Leena666, how long haf u lived in Adelaide?
I ve been living in Australia almost four years and i spend about 2 years in Adelaide and rest the time in other state.
When I studied in Adelaide in 2012 I was holding student visa , it's extremely hard to get a part time job in the first half year since I don't have much hospitality experience (which i believe cafe/restaurant job are good for students) and I don't want to work for "black job" (but if you dont mind to be underpaid like $10/hr,this is a good option).
However, I was lucky enough to get my first casual job that related to my expertise in few months time and worked one day per week. Meanwhile when I have time off from school, I worked as a cleaner 1-2 times per week for someone's house( it wasn't feel good at the beginning bcoz I had helper in Hk but I worked as someone else's helper in OZ ! ) Anyway this is my first year in Australia.
When it comes to second and third year, thing was getting a bit easier than before , especially I hold a Temporary Visa (of coz still not as good as a PR) and have more working experience in here.
To my mind, whenever people ask how hard to get a job in Australia, I always ask them what kind of job do they after ? a job for you to survive? kill time ? or the job in your expertise. I dare to say if you aim for earn as much as you can and you are a hard worker, it wont be too hard to get a job here. Otherwise, it takes a bit time for you to have your favorite job.
