I gave birth to my first baby at Sanatorium. My experience was the hospital was ok, the nurses were helpful, a bit expensive compared to other private hospital, but because my doctor is the chief for the obn division there, he prefers Sanatorium. that's why I am also going to have my second baby there. It is also conviniently located in Happy Valley. but 1 thing I found not satisfactory is they are not very good in teaching and encouraging breastfeeding, so I was not very successful last timebased on wrong knowledge. Hope they have improved in that aspect over the past few years.....
The doctor I am seeing is Dr. Joseph Chan, a very experienced doctor.
I always think that the private hospital would encouraging people to breastfeed their baby, but it seems not from Baoma's experience.
My first baby was born in Matilda & the nurse there is really very helpful to encourage us to breastfeed our baby. Therefore, I'm now become an experienced breastfeeding mom.... Ha ha...
This time I want to go to another hospital instead of Matilda is because my husband's company is cutting the medical benefit. As we cannot cover the expensive payment there, we would prefer to go to another hospital (Sanatorium would be the nearest hospital for me.)
However, I'm still thinking of Sanatorium because the cost is also quite expensive there.
Can anybody suggest a good doctor together with the hospital in HK side with a reasonable price? We want to have somemore choose if that is possible. (Of course, a good doctor is the first point to think about... Other than that, price is also a point....).
Oh! It's a lot cheaper than I expected. Why I heard that the total cost would be >$100000 in this hospital? What would be the charge of a private room?
BTW, anybody can answer my question regarding Matilda??
