If your hubby is a citizen, that means he lives here so he has to apply for your whole family. Then you could buy ticket and come here. That's what I do for my parants. If he doesn't apply for you, you won't get the chance to have a visa!

但我已有b2 10年multipal vistor visa, 呢娖幾年來我都用呢個visa出入, 我諗住先同d細勞過左去, 然後先他他條條申請, 同埋如果係呢邊申請用k3入境, 就無法帶賓賓一齊入, 我諗初期都要佢幫手執好d野.......有冇人有0甘既經驗呢, 唔該晒.

I have a friend who is a nurse in HK and wants to immigrate to the states. What are the steps? Should she apply for a student visa and studies to get a US nurse liscense first?

LPN(EN) or RN?
although the procedure is the same, but the needs here is different, she doesn't need to get the student visa, she can take exam in HK.
she needs to go online to CGFNS and the state she wants to work, to get the application form.
after she has got all the forms in her hand, ask her to come and ask for the second step. I will guide her thru the process.

Thanks Nillie. My friend is an RN in HK, so I guess she wants to be an RN in the US. Also her brother is studying in California, thus she probably wants to work in California. I will forward her the website and get the necessary forms first. Just to make sure, is it the VisaScreen® Program?

once she gets her license in CA ( she must study in OB/GYN to meet the enquirement --be a RN in CA, US).
then, she can go to the traveling nurse website in CA.. apply for a job which can provide a sponsorship, without the sonsorship, even she got an offer, she can not come to US. she needs a working permit! sponsorship provides working permit and working visa.
I don't know much about visa screen program.. may be the name is different to the one we are handling here in new york.

Thanks Nillie, I understand about the sponsorship part as I was an H1B holder before. She works in the orthopedic department currently. Why it has to be OB/GYN in California? So there's different needs for each state? Where can that info be found?

that is a pain of the neck, no one knows, until you sumbit your application and you don't get your feel back, and you made a call, and then they will send you a letter and told you what credit you missed.
that is the reason I know.. I got the term license in CA and they told me that I need to retake the OB/GYN in college in order to work in CA.. so I give up.
In new york, my 2 years full credit of psychology are good enough.. so they don't need me to take the OB/GYN.

My husband is US citizen and now applying our child aged 4 to immigrate to USA. I would like to ask whether he needs to stay for 5 years in USA before naturalization? Or he can apply for naturalization immediately after getting green card? Is there any special arrangement for children?

Also, can I apply for Healthy Family Insurance for my child (after he got the green card)?

一般小朋友, daddy係citizen, 你帶小朋友birth cert, 你,marriage cert, 同埋 daddy passport 去當地美國領事館 apply 就ok..

Hello i am living in CA (got a green card), I am a registered nurse also in HK. I apply the nursing licence here one year ago and the nursing broad need me to study OB and PYSCH first, because the studying hours they say is not enough. So I need to find a college to study this 2 subject again. I think your friend need to apply first and wait what they reply.
