How's to fly with a eight months old baby (15hrs fright)???

What should i take & have to play attention ?

Please share with me, thanks

You should request baby basket and a seat can fit the basket when you buy your ticket. When you check-in, make sure you get that seat. You will have a hard time if you have to hold you baby for so many hours. Bring milk powder and diapers in case they don't provide.

你可以奉旨帶埋bb車, 多幾件手提, 去到機場check-in, 搵埋人同你拎入去, 仲可以帶你走快線出境, 另外check-in時你記得叫佢在另一方機場搵人幫你, 即使你有工人又好, 老公又好, 你都可以搵佢地協助~ 你唔好客氣tim呀, 萬一飛機泊在外面, 要坐巴士出的話, 你就煩了, 再加埋落雨.... 咁就大件事~

有時BB車要係check in個陣已經要入倉，有時又可以係上飛機前一刻交比空姐收起，要是乎個間航空公司既運作，我搭過英航同維珍，都唔同。

如果帶BB上飛機，我會帶哂佢必需既品物，我會帶埋囡囡訓覺攬開個條毛巾同埋枕頭，因為怕佢唔習慣而扭計。

There's a topic about "guidelines for travelling with baby" at Pregnancy (孕媽媽) Magazine, Aug 04 version (pages 84 & 85). It suggested the followings:

- bring a jacket for the baby which is easy to take off (due to temperature difference between HK and the destination country)
- check in early
- leave your home for the airport early
- the mum should bring a convenient hand-carry
- bring the favourite toys of the baby
- bring sufficient diapers
- find a good place to take a rest & for the baby to settle down before boarding
- feed the baby before boarding

There's also information on the airlines' provisions, enquire tel numbers and guidelines in respect of this. PM me if you need to know the enquiry tel number of the airline which you're going to take.

我唔比bb先前瞓, bb一上機就瞓到落機. 否則郁來郁去.

一定要先飲奶, 第一怕陌生環境bb會唔肯飲. 機上有少許震, 又嘈. 另外大部份空姐未婚, 唔識開奶. 但廚房我哋唔可以入.

We are flying at night already, but she won't sleep for 15hr ma.....

Hi Kirsten,

I have intended not to let baby sleep in daytime, so my son is so tired when abroad & sleep longer time than usual.
If baby sleep 1/2 of the time, at least less trouble.

stkyo, 維珍之前係UA代理過, 而英航係Jardine代理, 我兩間公司都做過, 照計一定唔會咁衰要你check-in先, 可能係d職員問題.....

Kirsten, 一定ok, 你幾時上機? 同埋坐咩公司?? 你可以先打去hotline同佢地講搵人幫你手, 如果有問題, 你pm給我.... 除了日航JAL之外, 一般我都可以處理到~ 希望你可以克服小朋友在機上哭的擔憂, 因為好多飛慣的人都明白, "喊"係bb理所當然的事(感情舒發的一種常態), 相反bb一世唔"喊"就出事~

Martina, 其實好多航空公司空姐都係媽媽, 不過佢地一般都唔會同你開奶, 但暖水, 奶瓶清潔等, 一般都會盡力協助, 而空姐有一個強項就係照顧小朋友, 佢地習訓時係其中一個主考科目....

I'm fly with BA on 21 Sept, i choose the night fright (23:15) so my little one will be sleep at the plane for 8 hr at least.. thanks for the advise, i will try to call there hotline ask for help. :lol:

我都唔太清楚，過往幾年我帶囡囡去英國，多數會搭維珍或BA，有次維珍係check-in個陣已經收咗我架BB車，到英國個陣係行李帶個度附近認領返，認真麻煩，因為落機之後我要抱住BB同埋D手提行李行一大段路，搭BA個陣，D空姐係我上飛機個陣幫我收起，落機個陣會係啱啱落機個條通道認領番。

唔該哂你！咁我下次會堅持唔比佢哋收我架BB車。thanks！
