Being a christian, I think the most important thing is to bring my child to God. I think christian school is the most suitable one. Of course, I choose the best one to my beloved child.

I feel I'm facing a very difficult struggle now. I'm going to choose a primary school for my daughter this year, but my favorite school, which is also my mother school, is a Catholic School. I know that this school is quite different from other Catholic schools that it does not require students to attend mass and it does not take much emphasis on Mother Mary. On the other and it also have Chritian cell groups. This is one of the most popular schools for parents and nutured many outstanding students.
Sometimes I think that both Chritian and Catholic believe in the same God. We have brought our child to Church since she was a baby and she has understanding in God. As our salvation is based on the faith in God, if our child is studying in a Catholic school, it will not affect her salvation or relationship with God. Of course, we need to help our child to know what she should or should not do according to bible's teaching. However, I don't know if it is true. I 'm really puzzled.
henryesther,

i understand your struggle as i was born to a Christian family but went to Catholic primary school and secondary school. well, if there is a good Christian school near home, this is really perfect. but sometimes it is not that perfect. i prefer not sending little children to Catholic primary school. but if the child is more mature and strong in faith when he or she is older, i don't mind sending he or she to good Catholic school esp if there is a good Christian fellowship in that school. my rationale is that too young children may not be able to differentiate the differences between Protestant and Catholic (from my experience). for older children who are in secondary school age, those Catholic ideas can be stimulations for they to rethink about their religious beliefs. to me, this is good. the experience helps me to clarify my religious beliefs and let me to have more understanding of Catholic Christians. of course, it is important to a spiritual mentor (who can be parents or other mature Christians) to discuss the issue with the children and the children should have regular church life. if not, it can be dangerous. so, it is hard to say to give straight yes or no answer to your question. my husband who went to Christian primary and secondary schools reminds me that a Christian school which does not teach the bible properly can even be worse.
so, understanding your child and the school is more important. not just following the "Christian" label.
