Just get a maid from this agency, the maid I expected is totally different from what I want; but poor follow up and no support. Being cheated by its environment.
I had an experience with an agency with a similar name in Central. Its office has a lot of fish tanks and very decent; the boss (lady) is very professional in presentation. So I selected a Phil. maid (overseas) who was expected to come to HK by end July. During the period, I asked the agency to fax the houserules to the maid for acceptance, they refused :-x It was only after some negotiations that they finally did it.
One day before the maid's departure, they called me to say that the maid was sick and had to take rest. So I asked whether she was seriously ill or not. If not, I'd prefer her to come over because my existing maid would leave very soon and I could not wait. But they only said it was inhumane to the maid to ask her to come to HK during sickness and rejected my request. I then had to wait for another week. (They had a flight schedule every Friday and would not accomodate my request to arrange the maid to fly over ASAP even if she recovered) On Wednesday when the maid was supposed to show up for medical check up, she was missing for the whole day. And on Thuursday (the day before the re-arranged departure) they called me to say that the maid had not reported duty at the Agency for body check up again. At the last minute (about 4:30 pm) they called and said the girl arrived and asked me if I wanted her to get on to the plane coz they had to arrange an air ticket for her immediately. So I asked if they understood why she was missing on Wednesday and where she had been, the Agency could not give me the answers but just pushed me to consent for her coming to HK. Luckily I said I needed more time to consider her case and insisted on asking the Agency to re-assess the maid in the coming weekend before we discussed the issue again on Monday. They only accepted this very very relunctantly.
On Saturday, they called me again and say that the maid was missing without permission and advised that the maid was not up to standard. They offered a replacement or a total refund.
In my case, they did not cheat me any money but they had wasted my time and created me a lot of trouble coz my exisiting maid had left and there was no one to take care of my girl. Throughout the process, they seemed to have taken the standpoint of the maid rather than thinking for the interests of the employer. They did not show any sympathy to me in my case for special arrangements but just worked to their own rules.
