Yes, as the insurance plan did cover the collision and damage on the car or even loss. But the point is that, you (want) to pay more extra per day in order to buy the (extra) confidence from the trip, in which when we've returned, we think that this is a foolish and stupid $ to spend.
(In Hawaii, they did seperate the insurance into another item which is optional)
