Treating a maid is like managing a staff -- admin staff or tea lady. I think the employer shall not treat the staff too well that expect her to do the same to the employer. I agree with some of the mothers that we shall be kind and friendly to maids as they work far away from their home countries. However, they are working for a living and earning money from us. We are not their host families. As long as we are reasonable and provide them a decent work environment, that shall be sufficient enough. In addition, most of the maids never have a sense of belongings in the families no matter how nicely treated by the employers. Maids will leave your home one day and meet their own families. It's better to make the employer-employee relationships clear so as to avoid any hard feelings in future.
