Having seen all these unreasonable arrangements and the lack of respect to breastfeeding culture, it is really hard to believe Hong Kong’s claim as the Asian world city.
I agree that we can’t just sit here and rely on the government (as it is not mighty and we don’t hope it is). Let’s make our voice heard and hopefully the culture will change some day.
i have talked with the nurse of the
health department( who is the one i always talked
with ), i explained to her about the situations of
PC9, and the insufficent seats, area for brestfeeding.
she fully agreed with my comment and will reflect
my comment to their senior for improvement.
she explained that at that day, the staffs standing in
their counter are including nurses and general staffs,
may be PC9 meet the staff is the general staff, she
said since there may be too many people, that staff may
be very tired so she is not so "eager " enough to promote
bf. or maybe their target is the pregnant woman, that's why
ignore pc9 '.
during our discussion, i know sometimes the "health department"
has done a lot of things on breastfeeding, but some may not
be worked out due to budget issue, and the incorporation of
private hosptial, private compang, and other parties.
