no pay leave and for ticket, you better ask her to pay by herself since she has been working in HK for years and should have some saving, never to give them advance payment and perhaps you need to ask her sign a letter to the effect that when she does not come back to HK by the XXXXX(an agreed date between you and the Bun Bun), then the contract is terminated with effect from that date and she agreed. Ask her to write the letter to you and sign. If she does not turn up, then you send the letter to Immigration Department for their record.
my bun bun also told me that her husband dead few weeks ago and need return philipnese. I let her left 1 week and helped her purchase air-ticket, but would be deducted in her salary. Of course, I asked her to sign resign letter first.
When she back, I saw her smiling face, I am wonder, actually, from the beginning, I wonder her. Then I asked her how about the funeral. She said, her husband was ok. only injury, I really angry. She told a lie. Then I terminate her in next day.
My Filipino maid came to work for me in May 2004. In early July 2004, her mother died. She returned to her home town for 5 days. She arranged air ticket by herself and I gave her HK$500.
Prior to her departure, I did worry whether she would not come back again as her daughter is so small. Luckily, she came back. Also, I reminded her to make sure she would not get pregnant.
