if your family really needs a helper, why don't you re-new her contract?
simply tell her your concern and see what she'd say.
if her performance is good/ok, you don't have to employ a new one and train her all over again.
before i re-new the contract of my 1st maid, i told her my requirement and some stories from my friends that some maids would change once the 2nd contract starts. i told my maid that i don't want to see this happens. she understands that and so far she's ok. though sometime she shows long face but in general she loves my baby and always takes her initiatives to do her job.
consider your needs and the performance of your maid. would you like to have this family member at your home for another two years? if the answer is yes, keep her!
