I don't know 私家醫院做手術幾錢 but I know it won't take long if it's confirmed to be Hernia for Public Hospitals (almost right away for somebody I know) because Hernia can be serious (die).

Don't worry. My son did the operation one month ago. 私家醫院 around $20000. The operation take 30 minutes.

Just take your boy to the A&E if you do find that it' s a bit urgent to have the operation and then they will arrange for a faster appointment.

我個b1個月既時就發現有小腸氣，經健康院寫紙去醫院睇外科，睇左2次(一星期)已經約做手術，加埋都唔一個月，我個b就係政府做既，訓左4晚深切都係$幾佰！私家醫院就唔知。

Yes, we went to the hospital one day before, took the operation in the next morning, and we left the hospital around 21:00. We stayed in hospital only 1 night.

And my son still jump and jump after the operation, did not feel pain after the operation.

Baptist hospital.

應該係訓兩日，但發現bb有{談}，唔知係唔係手術問題所以訓多兩日。內窥鏡囉！做完個肚仔有3個窿架，依家得番1個。我個b兩邊都有，你呢？

The operation cost was covered by insurance and 100% covered. We did not pay any money. And my boy is "開刀".
My boy is 3.5 year old and I was so worry before he took the operation. But he as fine and no painful after the operation. And I must say "Thanks god". :)

So, don't worry, I can PM the doctor name to you if you want.

其實最好係問清楚個保險agent先,因唔係一定包架,我個仔上次個手術,之前問完agent,佢話包,但佢公司後來又要check吓係先天(即出世時有冇發現"小腸氣")定後天,好彩最後都claim到,唔係成兩萬幾蚊真係肉赤架!
仲有呀,我agent話我知,d醫生手術費原來可以講價架!

疝氣是腹部肌肉壁有小缺陷而使軟組織突出的狀況。

孩子們最常見的疝氣是臍膨出，出現在肚臍附近，是因出生時腹壁有缺陷所造成。臍膨出很少需要處理，會自然痊癒。

鼠蹊膨出則是在鼠蹊部位，是男孩子最常患的，這是因為睪丸降到陰囊後發生的異常現象。鼠蹊膨出也可以自行痊癒，但是如果小部分的腸子陷入則需經小手術修正。

在肚臍附近或鼠蹊部位的皮膚表面有不痛的突出物，它在孩子咳嗽、打噴嚷、或哭啼時會變大。
如有腸子陷崁會發生嘔吐和肚子劇痛。

Thank you. I met the doctor last Sat and will take the operation on this Friday. He said the total costs around $15-16K.
The operation is "開刀".
