I was go to the Tokyo Sesame Place in 2000, so I am not sure if the park is the same as before, since it is almost 4 years ago.
Personally, I will not suggest anybody to go there unless you stay nearby, it is very far away from Tokyo, I go there on my own, not with the travel group, it takes me about 2 hours to get there, after the train, I need to take the bus and than shuttle bus again to transit there, it seems like from Tsimshatsui to Yuen Long, and the park is quite old, no fun, also, it is rainy day when I went there, less than 10 people in the park, except my family, the rest is Japanese peopel, so my experience is not good in this park, and I never go to this park again even I go to Japan every year.

we will go with 3 yrs daughter to Tokyo 5D/4N in end Sep.
Our plan is
Day1 in 新宿 live in Hyatt.
Day 2 in Disney
Day 3 in 台場
Day 4 in 築地+淺草
Day 5 in 上野+銀座
Only 5 days, so just make it simple.
Honestly, I am not an “expert” or that “experience in travel to Japan” as you imagine although I go to Japan ever year since my daughter was around 2 and half years old, because she is crazy with Disney’s characters, when I go to Japan with her in last 5 years, I will stay in the Disney’s hotel for three to four days, mostly I will spend 3 days in Disneyland or Disney sea, except the first year in 2000 because the Disney sea not open yet, that’s why I was went to that Sesames Street Place as you mentioned before.
For the rest of time, I will go to the sea Museum which nearby Disneyland, I have been to台
Thanks for your tips. We're also planning to go to Tokyo for 6 nights. We will be staying in "Keio Plaza Hotel" in Shinjuku. Is it where you stayed before? Did you mean this "Keio Hotel" is close to Hellokittyland? How far away by Taxi? I'm travelling with 2 kids (2.5y & 6m) so it's better to take a taxi. Do you know how many people a taxi can take?
Also, is 台場 close to disneyland? How far away by Taxi?
