The incident happened on 18/1 around 10:30a.m. at Fa Yuen Street. An old woman fell down in the midst of the crowds. An indo helper helped her to stand up but she couldn't stand by herself. Passers-by scolded the helper for not looking after the old woman, but the helper said that she didn't know the old woman. People around just shouted that somebody should call 999 but nobody took any action. The helper with her 3 friends comforted the old woman and helped her by massaging her hand which seemed to be hurt. My husband called 999 and I asked the old woman for her home number to contact her son. The four helpers accompanied the old woman until the ambulance came. My husband and I felt ashamed that no helping hands were given out from our Hong Kong people. The hawkers were busy with their business while the others were busy with their shopping. I really want to give some credits to those four Indonesian helpers.
